As an adolescent, I so badly wanted to fight. I remember being about ten years of age and watching the grown ups spar with one another. I mostly remember how uncomfortable I was when practicing new techniques, and how insecure I felt. I remember practicing my shadow boxing in the ring, while the "real fighters" waited patiently for their turn on the canvas. I never felt more out of place than at those times, and I felt like I was just taking up space that could be used for someone better. Those thoughts ate away at me, but I kept going, driven by that desire, and the few things I was good at.

For starters, be sure and make your goals a positive statement. Key in on what you truly desire, not what you don't want. This may look as if it is an obvious statement; however, many of us unintentionally focus on what we don't want. When this occurs we give our energy to the wrong result.
